In my last post, we discussed an extremely important topic. It was called, Jarryd Fillmore – Concepts In Becoming A Leader. This week, we will be discussing a very important topic as well.
There are some people in this world who have that completely irresistible charm. I remember back in high school, there would be some guys that were downright ugly, but have beautiful girlfriends. I wondered why the heck that was! Was it money? No, they weren’t rich. Was it looks? Obviously not, they were butt ugly. Then I realized something they had, which was obviously irresistible.
These people are the life of the party – they are the ones that people turn to for help, advice and much more. You may even catch yourself asking yourself, “why can’t I be like that? What do they have that I do not?”
It’s simple. Their sense of self-worth comes not from anything external, but from within. After years of interaction, Jarryd Fillmore has figured out what makes people irresistible.
They treat literally everyone with respect
I’ve seen this trait so often. I actually know a guy in the small town that I grew up in, where he’s everyone’s friend. People think he’s the coolest guy in the world, and I’ve noticed that one of the biggest reasons for this is because he treats everyone with respect. He’s friendly and respectful to the janitor, all the way up to CEOs of companies. He takes genuine interest in what they have to say – he’s even made me feel this way. No wonder the guy’s got charm, he’s super respectful to everyone.
They follow the one rule – the platinum role
Everyone knows the age-old golden rule – treat others as you want to be treated. However, there’s a big problem with this line of thinking. It has a fatal flaw – it obviously assumes that everyone on this planet wants to be treated the same way, which is simply not true. Some people love being the center of attention (like Jarryd Fillmore), some people are extremely introverted. However The Platinum Rule, which states treat others as they want to be treated, completely corrects this flaw. Irresistible people are able to easily read people. They simply adjust their behaviour to make others feel very comfortable around them.
They do not focus on small talk
A lot of people that you knew years back, you may run into them at places like a bar or some other social event. You would then engage in small talk, which we all know can be extremely awkward. Irresistible people completely avoid small talk, because they know that it’s useless. They know that it hinders on creating an emotional connection with anyone or anything. Instead, they find the depth in the conversation. They take genuine interest in what the person has to say that they are talking to.
They are selfless – they focus more on people than they do themselves
These kinds of people take a genuine, authentic interest in others. Jarryd Fillmore actually puts others before himself. They don’t obsess over how well they are liked, because they are way too busy focusing on the people that they are actually with at the time. This is what makes their special trait so effortless.
They do not try too hard
These kinds of people do not try and overcome the other person with conversation about how smart and successful they are. They don’t want to brag at all, the thought does not even occur to them to do so. They know this because they know it is really annoying to do so, and remember that the conversations are rarely about them. It’s all usually about the other person.
They have integrity
You can see it in the way these kinds of people carry themselves. When they walk, talk and interact with people, they possess a sort of unwavering friendliness and confidence in everything they do. This is a massive part as to why they are irresistible people. One of the biggest things that makes these people who they are is to simply never talk bad about anyone else.
Well that’s it, I hope you enjoyed my blog post! Stay tuned for next weeks.
